I am more than pleased with the price/performance of this scope. This lightwieight tube (approx 5lbs.) does not have an APO lens so you will see false color at higher powers, but you will also see bright sharp views during the day and the false color is not an issue to me at 40x or less. At night, I've taken it up to 140x on Jupiter with very good results. The image erecting prism it comes with is useful for terrestrial views, but buy a 1.25" mirror diagonal for astronomy. The mounting block on the optical tube will attach to standard photo/video tripods, but you'll want to use a sturdy one. I bought a pair of 100mm mounting rings and placed it on an alt-az mount for astronomy. Lastly, this scope is not waterproof like some of the other dedicated or high-end spotting scopes -- so don't take it out in the rain.
Pros: Good optics, very light
Cons: Not waterproof
