Celestron wide view 102mm spotting scope - Celestron 102mm Wide View Spotting Scope 4" / 102 mm Refractor Telescope 52270

This is an inexpensive "grab-n-go" scope with good (not great) optics. I will use it primarily for astronomy. Given the amount of time I will use it, it is the right investment for me.

My first night, with a totally inadequate camera mini mount, I found Saturn and could view it's rings easily with the supplied 10mm eyepice. I am looking forward to upgrading with a more substantial alti-azimuth mount, wide-view eyepieces, and a dot finder.

Optics Planet was easy to reach by phone and had the best price with free shipping.
Pros: wide field of veiw, smooth focuser
Cons: finder scope too close to tube, could use rings
