Better than i thought - Celestron UpClose 20x50 Porro Binocular 71144

I needed a pair of full-size binoculars to replace a set of Tasco 10 x 50s that fell out of my Patrol car during a prisoner transport. I knew Celestron makes great telescopes and I thought and hoped that this applied to their binoculars as well. I took a chance on the 20x because I've used other brands that had a 10 - 20x zoom, and the zoomed image lost a lot of definition. These don't. The 50 mm objective means good light gathering and I was able to read a license place in low light well over a block away. For the price, I don't think you could find a better value. I would have paid 50 bucks for these if I had found them in a store and tried them out first.
