Seems to be a good value for its intended purpose - Celestron Ultima 100 Spotting Scope 52257

This spotting scope was purchased for the purpose of viewing landscapes at distances of up to 2 miles. It will be mounted more or less permanently on a tripod and will not be moved from place to place. This is a good thing, because the scope is large and fairly heavy. As with other mid-range scopes I have used, image resolution degrades somewhat at maximum magnification, but is satisfactory for its intended use. The scope appears to be well-made. The straight viewing configuration is easier for me to use and should be more convenient for users of differing heights.
