Celestron advanced c6-sgt 11079-xlt 6" telescope - Celestron Advanced C6-SGT 11079-XLT 6" Telescope

Being a rank amateur, I felt the instructions were directed more toward those more advanced and were less user friendly for the entry level purchaser. That said, user forums were available to offer explanations and helpful advice to get me going.

The telescope and mount are of extremely high quality. My only criticism would be that the rail mount at the bottom of the scope needs to have some sort of safety stop to prevent the telescope from accidentally falling from the mount should the securing screws not be tightened or inadvertently left lose. It is a bit awkward to mount the scope to the mount alone and secure the screws at the same time. This could be the basis of an accident without some sort of safety stop.
