Beware, there are serous altitude adjustment issues - Celestron Heavy Duty Alt-Azimuth Telescope, Binocular Tripod 93607

I don’t believe this tripod/mount is appropriate for astronomical use. I tried my darnedest to get it to hold above 45 degrees inclination, to great aggravation. I’ve noted others have had the same experience. It’s mystery to me how this setup hangs around with various telescope applications. I’m an old hand at astronomy. Maybe I’m missing something, but I doubt it.
