Scott Smith's Review of Celestron Nature DX 8x42mm Roof Prism Binoculars
I am just getting into birding and have been an avid naturalist and hunter all my life (almost 60). Have had a couple pairs of cheap binoculars that spent more time in a closet than being used. One of those was an Nikon Action Fieldmaster 12X50 that were ok but heavy, bulky, and not waterproof.
Decided I wanted to step up my game and get a better pair. After lots of research, I ordered both the Nikon Monarch 3 8X42 and this Celestron Nature DX 8X42. In my opinion, the Celestron was the better pair of binoculars, and approx. $100 less. Very comparable to the Nikons in every respect, but a much better value. Easy choice.
