Reviews & Ratings for Celestron NexImage CCD Solar System Imager 93712
— 4 reviews — Page 1
I was able to achieve some impressive moon and planets pictures with this imager, but Deep Space Objects are not obtainable as is. The included software is pretty impressive in what it actually does and its ease of use! If you want nice pics of the moon, jupiter, and saturn then this is sufficient. If you may want DSO pics later, then you may want to look elsewhere.
Pros: takes good bright object pics
Cons: not DSO compatible

To date, I have not been able to get one clear.photo! I'm now awaiting an extension tube to see if I can improve the focal point position. If not, I'm sending it to you or to Celestron for refund.
Pros: None
Cons: Does not give any usable image
Would recommend: No

It took a while to get this to work. The 'documentation' that came with it is not practically worthless, it WAS worthless. I would suggest that you folks include something with a hint about how to use it. I had a hard time getting the thing to focus and even to see anything at first. Better documentation would have gone a long way. Not everyone automatically knows what to do with this stuff...
