This finderscope is quite difficult to use, since it is not illuminated. I was unaware of the difficulty this would cause, or I would have re-considered the purchase. I got around this by shining a penlight off-axis down the finderscope opening, allowing the reticle to be visible alon with polaris. Celestron should reconsider the design of this item.
