Most Helpful Positive Review A great scope!
The scope gives an excellent clear and razor sharp image. Also at 67x the scope is still sharp and clear. Although a bit heavy, it sure is worth the price and the weight.

Very happy with Celestron Regal 100 F-ED

Take my cons with the understanding that this is the first item of this type I've ever purchased. I honestly don't know much about them. I got a general idea of this type of product from a friend with a 20-year old Nikon with similar specs. His was much more compact. However, the image was better with the Celestron. It just seems rather large. The paint scheme seems "toy-like". The scope most certainly isn't, but the colors, combined with the Celestron Astromaster Tripod I purchased make the whole package seem "garish". Truly, minor complaints and I'd definitely recommend this scope.
Pros: Great image quality, great value
Cons: Bulkier than some similar models, not a fan of the paint scheme

celestron regal 100 f-ed

I compared this scope to the new vortex razor hd 85mm.The clestron was sharper and brighter.For a 35x wide angle view I use a baader hyperion 17mm eyepiece.awesome.
Pros: brilliant optics. 2stage focus.takes 1.25 astro lenses. very stable on a good tripod even in windy coditions.exellent wide angle zoom lens.
Cons: heavy.

Optical clarity is superb. Optcs did a good job of shipping it quickly. Customer service at this comapny is great too!
