works very good in open clear skys.if the stars are block by bad weather not so good.i can always go to manual mode if a few stars are visable.this is a camera need clear skys.for me its a keeper.easy to set up.i have camera set up on one side for auto mode starsence,and red dot scopeset up on other side on top of SE 8 INCH scope for manual mode.also comes with starsence hand set,take out the old ,put in the new easy.
