Legacy Reviewer's Review of Celestron Motor Drives for Telescopes
It does what it is supposed to do, which is to track the sky, assuming you do a reasonable job aligning your mount. You can do minor slewing with the buttons on the control, so it is easy enough to manually correct for any setup inaccuracies.
My biggest gripe is that the R.A. drive does not have a clutch that you can disengage. With the motor installed, you *cannot* turn the RA by hand using the slow-speed hand control, so you might as well remove the hand control. That is a *big* irritation, as even the 8X speed is way too slow for going any distance. You'll be reduced to loosening and pushing the scope directly.
Pros: Good tracking, 2-axis
Cons: No clutch for R.A. drive
