Flip's Review of Nikko Stirling Mountmaster NMC41240W Rifle Scope 4-12x40mm, 4-Plex Reticle w/ Rings
I placed my order for this scope back in June, I believe, and I was aware that it would be quite a while until it was delivered to me. OP informed me it would get here in Sept, 2021, and they kept me posted. Got it a couple weeks ago and immediately mounted it on my favorite rimfire and sited it in. First thing I noticed was how clear the glass was. Also, dialing it up to 14 power and the target @ 50 yards (and then @ 100) was still clear. Scope is advertised as parallax free, and that is correct .A couple of days ago, I got a pair of squirrels.
I titled this review as 'a step above' I've been using a couple of popular, inexpensive, 'rimfire' scopes made by well known companies that mostly do the job. This Nikko Sterling is a good step up. I am considering buying another to stick on my 17HMR.One thing to add and I'm not complaining. The dovetail rings included do not fit the standard rimfire 3/8". No big deal, I had a set that put the scope down where I wanted it. I will add that this scope is probably not what most precision or long range rimfire shooters need. I rated this scope 4 stars as it does all I expect at this price point
