A good concept, but too many bugs. The ball bearing feature must go. I suppose that the locking/securing features (hex screws) could be secured with Loctite, but that makes dismounting difficult without the application of heat. The customer was consistently high at the range, and to boresight the mounted scope required the use of excessive shims to retain maximum adjustment on the scope. I normally drill and tap M1903's, but my customer insisted that he retain the use of the rifle sights. We ended up drilling and tapping the receiver anyway. The mount has promise, but it isn't quite up to snuff yet. I have had the same problems with the "No Gunsmithing" mounts for the Ruger Mini-14 and M1A by B-Square not being able to hold under recoil.
Pros: Easy installation, clears military bolt, you do not have to drill and tap the very hard M1903 receiver.
Cons: The mount will not remain secure under recoil, will not "hold zero". It is not practical to continually check that the mount is secure. My customer had difficulty using the bolt removal feature incorporated in the mount assembly.
