Cloud defensive owl - Cloud Defensive OWL LED Weaponlight

I have been looking forward to getting the OWL for quite sometime now. I searched around on a bunch of sites for about the last 4 months and ultimately went with optics planet because there price was on the lower end and they have a good reputation with the guys I work with. The light arrived relatively quickly with it being a holiday period which I was pleased with. The actually light is in good condition and I am happy with the OWL itself. I have two reasons I would not recommend purchasing the OWL from optics planet. The first reason is the box I received was not the box pictured on their website. If you look at the OWL on optics planets site it is in a nice plastic hard case. I’m assuming that was what cloud defense gave out at Shot Show the year the OWL was released. Mine came in a cardboard box. Which is fine I just assumed that it came packaged as pictured. The biggest issue though is optics planet had the really nice nitecore charger pictured as well. I assumed I was buying the OWL that came with the nitecore charger that had the digital screen with all the information about the battires as they charged. I did not receive that in my disappointing cardboard box. I received the UI2 which does not have a digital screen and only shows your flashing lights when the batteries charge. If you are going to buy the OWL just spend the extra $25-$50 and buy it from Cloud Defense directly or go to another site that has the nicer charger.
