Cm 10mm 1911 mag waste of money - Chip McCormick Classic Full-Size 1911 Pistol Magazine

I was excited to receive my Chip McCormick magazine, even though it arrived a couple of weeks late. At first glance, it looked nearly identical to the Springfield magazine that came with my firearm. However, once I started loading it, something felt off. The follower and spring didn’t operate smoothly, and it seemed like the magazine walls were swelling as I added rounds.

At the range, the issues became more apparent. The magazine developed failures to eject, hung up during insertion, and wouldn’t drop free consistently. I checked the firearm at home, cleaned the magazine well—which was already clean—and even disassembled the magazine release to inspect and clean it thoroughly. Still, no improvement.

Switching back to my Springfield magazines, everything worked flawlessly. In my opinion, this Chip McCormick magazine wasn’t worth the time, money, or wait. I should’ve spent a few extra bucks and gone with a Wilson Combat magazine instead.
