JB's Review of CMC Triggers Match Grade Drop In Single Stage Trigger for Ruger 10/22

1st major issue/con/consideration: You’ll have to take off the magazine release each time you want to take your rifle down to clean. They extend out far enough on the factory wood stock and my aftermarket chassis that I had to remove them for installation. Thankfully, I have an open top receiver and this is not and issue for me. However, I am aware that most other won’t and this will be a headache.

The one main issue I have with the trigger is that the screws for the magazine release have both walked out during range session. This happened to both sides after two outings (I noticed after 600+ rounds). I was very aware of the the second time and will probably put blue loctite on. Again, not the worst thing for me but for others, another headache. You don’t want to do that after each time. Now you have 3 screens to take down your rifle instead of just 1.

Last consideration is that it not adjustable. Most of the other triggers in this price range are but this isn’t.

The rest I have to say is positive. I am a fan of CMC triggers. I’ve had them in ARs and still have them in a couple of AKs. The pull, break and lack of over travel are great. The functionality of the whole unit is fantastic. I like the mag release, bolt hold open is in a great place and it comes with a bolt release.

Last thing, this listing is for a curved trigger, however my receipt in the box said it was for a flat trigger and I received a flat trigger. I don’t mind at all, that’s actually what I wanted anyways.

I’d rate this 4.5 out of 5 in my position but probably a 3 for others.
