I purchased one of these last fall at a special promo price from another store. It was the envy of all I showed it to. When I went to buy two more as Christmas gifts the price had almost doubled. I found the next best deal at Optics Planet. I recently bought a second one for myself.
The focusing feature goes from a very good flood light to an incredible long range spot light. It is the brightest light available that is small enough to carry in my pocket and I'm rarely without it. Mine went months before needing its first recharge but with three interchangeable battery packs (two of them rechargeable) and several charging options I know it will work when I need it. I admit I was initially put off by the price but you get everything you pay for and more and I haven't found a better price or service than Optics Planet.
