Robert Dare's Review of Cold Steel Cavalier Rapier
This Rapier is a Pappenheimer Rapier or Transitional Rapier. A design that was slimmer and smaller than a full sized rapier. After the Transitional Rapier came the Smallsword.
This particular rapier is fairly well done. It came sharp,feels good and good build quality. This particular rapier seems to be more of a combat rapier. Propably would do well if paired with a steel 23" rotella.
The Cavalier Rapier did come coated in oil. Quite a mess. Lol
I do wish they had done a few things though.
- Added ray or shark skin on the grip like in the Ribbed Shell Guard Rapier. They should do this with the Smallsword too.
- Added a leather frog as an accessory to carry the rapier ( as well as frogs for their Daggers,Rapiers and Smallsword)
