Pretty representation of a katana - Cold Steel Gold Lion Katana

I wasn’t expecting near perfection at this price point. I wanted a traditional looking but artful katana to handle, learn about the whole genre of Japanese sword craft. This is I believe an accurate representation of a well made katana. The blade itself is beautiful. It’s well balanced and feels good in hand. Unfortunately, the furniture of the handle is not good. File marks on the guard, all the gold is tarnished and just looks like blobs. The buttcap is a bit loose too. I like the sword for the most part, but some quality issues disappoint. All in all, I’m keeping it.
