This Coleman Pop up tent has better venting options over what I have seen in other pop ups. The mesh on the topside works well, and with the rain fly off, you can put you head up against the mesh and look around in all directions if needed, which is a good plus. Or just look up at the stars at night as an option. With its rain fly on or off, the doors entry design allows you to enter the tent by stepping into it and squatting down to sit in it. You don't need to crawl into the tent on your knees, which most other pop tents require. I'm six foot, and in sitting down inside this tent your head does press against the central roof mesh. However, when you lay down there is plenty of room for one and the steep sides are far from your head and toes. For two people this tent would be rather cramped to work unless they were children. The size specs Coleman has posted for this tent are only off by inches here and there, but close.
As Pop up tents go, I think this one has features that makes it stand out from others in the pop tent category. That is if you need that super fast set up and if the size of this one works for you. I go camping with large groups of family and own several types of tents for various usage. This Coleman Pop-up I purchased to take as a tent spare on these family camp outs which I use as an afternoon Nap tent. I'm able to get away from the group camp site, and pop up this little tent out for a quick bug-less snooze by the lake or under a pine. For full use camping I prefer another bigger tent, for gear space and spacial comfort. However I think this Coleman Pop-up also serves a purpose by being a good Emergency crisis event tent for in-home use, if your power goes out in cold weather. Tents in that small size can be from 10 to 12 degrees warmer inside it just from your radiated body heat. I measured the temp variance in a similar sized tent used during a power outage last winter for in-home emergency use. It works.
For my purposes of use of this type of tent I would recommend this Coleman pop up. Though any child under twelve I would suggest not to be messing with folding this tent back up to avoid injury, due to the springy rode tensions and twists needed to pack it up properly. This tent has a rod springy structure and does require some extra care though, if you want it to last.
Pros: Super fast set up.
Cons: Limited use applicaitons.
