JW's Review of Command Arms Accessories Hartman Red Dot Sight, B Type Reticle, 1 Locking Lever

Surprised at bad reviews. This sight WAS $600 but not anymore. Were the fancy extras worth the extra cost, probably not. Do I need the fancy software and extras, no. But the basic features that this sight has are second to none.
1. Reticle is accurate and more crisp looking than eotech....and my eyes are bad.
2. LARGE window means I can get the target in the window VERY FAST and can have more than one close targets in the same window. Because I can see multiple targets in the same window means I can move the reticle from target to target extremely fast without much gun movement.
3. The instant on sensor feature is AWESOME and you don't have to worry about it coming on with normal movements.
4. If you keep it simple by just sticking to the angled power/brightness buttons all the other features work on their own.
4a. One reviewer states that the sight worked and then later it didn't and died. He probably messed with the buttons and goofed. Case in point. I was messing with the middle button and must've put it on NV mode. So the lowest brightness is basically invisible and unknowingly had held the middle button and power button at the same time which later learned that it turns off the sleep and auto on function. So I put the sight up for weeks or more and battery died because it wasn't really sleeping. I thought the sight was bad and died. So I charged it up and still couldn't see the reticle because it was in NV invisible brightness. Again thought it was bad/dead. I played with buttons and it came to life and never had a problem again. So just keep to the buttons as stated above #4 or learn the settings/button combos really well.
Pros:
  • QD release
  • stout and durable
  • really water proof
  • battery and back up battery
  • fastest on target sight ( bar none)
  • sleep/on sensor
  • actually is parallax free
Cons:
  • 4-5 oz. heavier than Eotech
  • don't play with the buttons/combos unless you learn what they do
Best Used for:
  • CQB gun battles with multiple targets
