I bought this to mount on a home defense shotgun. Great application, Great fit. But, it's a little bigger than I had expected. Would not make a great fit for pistols or as extra add-on to my ARs. Great for what I intended, but no other secondary purchase as I was hoping for. I'll have to look for smaller, pricer units for my hand guns.
