If you're not familiar with this type of belt, consider this: If the belt loops on your pants are close together in the front, the rappell ring is a bit bunglesome...you may need to flip it loose from its flap; plus, remember that velco surfaces don't slide across each other like a slick leather belt, so you can't very well thread the end of the belt back through your belt loop and pull tight...it catches. The moral of the story...BUY ONE SIZE BIGGER! The velco on this thing goes all the way around to the back so you're not going to have any slack hanging off; further, this lets you just fold the belt RIGHT OVER the first belt loop on your pants and press down to secure. If the excess goes past your holster area, it makes the belt that much more sturdy, and finally, if you really do need to rappell from that helicopter, eight or ten inches of secured velcro are going to support your weight better than three. I like the belt...just wish I'd gotten the next larger size...learn it, know it, live it.
Pros: Sturdy
