Most Helpful Positive Review Works as advertised
What makes a laser sight so useful is that you can shoot from the hip, from the floor lying down without ever having to line up sights. The grip was easy to install and it was spot on at 7, 15 and 25 yards. I made no adjustments. I didn't have to make any adjustments on my Ruger SP101 after I instal...

Most Helpful Negative Review crimson trace lg-426
I have to squeeze tightly to activate the laser, the tighter I squeeze the more my shot is off, the activation button on the side is much better. Pros: easy set up Cons: button placement sucks

I can't say enough about both optics planet and Crimson Trace Products. Easy to install, easy to adjust and CTC provides free batteries every year what else can you ask for from a company. Would recommend for anyone shooting in low light conditions.

Cons:
  • None

Crimson Trace Lasergrip on Sig P226

by shooter1, from OR, United States Written on December 8, 2016
Unlike some reviewers, I found the CTC Lasergrip easy to actuate with no modifications or additions. I thought the grips might be rubber coated but that's not the case, so it'll take a little getting used to after removing the nice set of Hogue grips that I've become used to.

If you think you are an instinctive point and shoot kind of gunner, having this device on your gun might surprise you. I like it quite a bit and would recommend it to any who asked. Instructions were concise and to the point. The changes I would like to see to this product are: make it available in green laser instead of only red, and rubberize the contact surfaces - the textured surface of the grips is not all that great, but you're not likely to have it slip out of your hand, either. Seems like they could make these just like the Hogues...

Activation Improvement

by Legacy Reviewer, from MI, United States Written on November 9, 2012
I also had a problem with activation. Called customer service. They suggested gluing a rubber pad over the activation button. I did. It worked GREAT! Every Time! (The pad I cut was from a piece of rubber that was about 2mm thick.)
Pros: Excellent in most situations
Cons: Not that great in full sunlight

Switch Difficult to Actuate

by Legacy Reviewer, from OH, United States Written on July 14, 2012
Like the other review posted here, I have a high opinion of CT products. It was well made and easy to install. I simply cannot get the laser to actuate with the front button! I think it depends heavily on hand size and finger length. The button ends up in the crook of my finger and I cannot naturally apply enough pressure to activate the laser. You do not want to have to remember to change your grip to turn on the laser. I am disappointed and will have to remove it from the pistol as it is useless to me. I think the LG-326 would have been a better choice. This is a definite try before you buy situation. You may not have the same problem but it did not work for me. I did not purchase from Optics Planet. They would likely have covered an exchange.
Pros: Easy Install, Well made, Good Reputation
Cons: LG-426 Front Activation buttom location did not work
