Jim's Review of Crimson Trace Laserguard for Ruger LCP II
I bought the Crimson Trace laserguard for my wife’s Ruger .380. The fixed sights on the Ruger LCPII are often difficult to see well enough to get an adequate sight picture. It was for this reason and because my wife is not exactly a sharpshooter, that I bought the laser. The difference in my wife’s speed and target acquisition/ re-acquisition was immediate and dramatic! The only criticism I have to offer is that the activation switch could stand to be substantially more sensitive. Sometimes my wife had to really work at getting the unit to produce a beam.
Pros:
- Greatly improved accuracy and target acquisition time.
Cons:
- The activation switch is not sensitive enough.
Best Used for:
- Low-light shooting and as a training aid.
