The plastic rail that connects the laser to the gun broke after 2 fire shots. - Crimson Trace Rail Master Pro Universal Rail Mount LED Laser

Very strange and unexpected after you pay so much for this product. After installing the laser on my Ruger sr9 very excited took it to the range. After 1-2 fire shots I see the laser being projected on the wall from the recoil. Inspecting the issue I see that the plastic rail that connects the laser to the gun broke. It simply cracked and the came off. Let me put a note ... I was not holding my gun holding the laser with my hand when this happened ... I don't know even if I was touching it. I was very disappointed to see that after paying so much money for a device that should be super reliable and that actually broke out of the blue.

Over all... I like the design of the laser ... and laser itself feels really nice and solid. But I will never understand why they have decided to go with a plastic rail instead of metal. I mean the body of the laser is metal ... why not the rail ??? Is this just a poor engineering design or are you being cheap crimson trace ???? I did not expect this from you ....

On another note ... I know you wonder if I installed it properly in the first place. Well ... I can tell you this ... I work on my car and I have a background in electronics ... so I can install a device with 2 screws

Also ... on the sad note too ... I called the customer service ... a nice guy answered. He said he will send me another rail ... but I never got it. I called customer service again after 3 weeks. I talked to Molly this time ... she assured me she will send the part. Let's see how long will be this time ....

If you find it hard to believe ... I do to ... but I still have some of the parts from that rail ... I will be glad to send you pictures ....
