GuyActual's Review of CRKT Provoke Kinematic Folding Karambit Knife by Joe Caswell
The CRKT Provoke was on my list since they day they had the kickstart. This knife design is functional and dependable. Comes a little tight when you first get it, but that is a good thing as it means tight tolerances. Once worked it, the actions will slide out with a very solid lockup. The lock design ensures that it will not collapse under heavy stress, giving you dependability when your protection is on the line. From a closed position, it fills the fist without major hotspots, so even undeployed its like having a roll of quarters in your hand. The ring also can act as a knuckle for a good solid tap if needed.
Overall this knife doesn't have many drawbacks. the clip is of good design, but not meant for inverted usage so be warned. Cannot be sharpened on a flat stone, you will need a rod based system for sharpening. (A good fine diamond rod works very well.) Overall, its well worth it... Especially if you purchase it at BDU.
