For the extra bucks, you do get more. They are much beefier, more rigid and a few rails longer than the Surefires. Still easy to cut as needed. I'm not one for bulging KAC or UTG-types that add unwanted mass. I just like the rails to feel more comfortable and be devoid of sharp corners. Both these and the Surefire brand get the job done to my satisfaction. The extra bulk and rigidity of these are preferred in some cases. They protrude a bit whereas the Surefires are slightly concave. The Surefires virtually disappear into the rail. I keep both on hand. Which to use just depends upon each rig and the gear configuration.
