This barrel is outstanding.
Pros: Accurate, Regularly stocked, not the most expensive, 1:7 twist, heavyweight
Cons: heavy, chrome lined if you don't like that
This is the most accurate chrome lined barrel that I've ever shot., and I have shot two separate criterion .223 wylde barrels. This thing is sub-minute all day. With match 75 & 77 grain . 223 and 5.56 this can turn in sub . 50 moa groups. I wish DD made this in 16 inches, id definitely buy it. It really doesn't feel that heavy to me, but I do go to the gym from time to time. But if it's heavy, a lightweight rail would be a good idea like a BCM rail. If your used to a 16 midlength govt profile barrel, yeah this is a pound heavier, you may want to stay in the 16 inch barrel length range.
