Bobby's Review of Daniel Defense Rifle Barrel Assembly, 5.56mm NATO, 1:7 Twist, S2W
Finally got this zeroed in to 44 yards (due to my sights height over bore being 2.88”). What an accurate barrel!!!! Super happy with it.
Took it to the 500 meter range here that has steel targets at 200, 300, 385 and 500 meters. I was able to hit the targets at various ranges with the appropriate hold overs. I using a red dot with 3x magnifier. All the misses can be attributed to me for not doing my part.
At 200m I was close to dead on and could hit a dueling tree with targets 6” in diameter.
At 300 and 385 I was hitting 10” targets quite easily.
At 500 I had the most misses but without anyone to spot me it was hard. I did see a couple of hits. Again no reflection on the barrel, the misses were all mine.
Overall I am very happy I purchased this barrel. No regrets at all. Definitely would but again.
BTW, I did not do any barrel break in procedures, just took it to the range, zeroed it and then had fun with it. The ammunition I used was 5.56 62 grain.
