Big John Dad's Review of DeSantis DSD Shoulder Rig Holsters

I recently bought a Micro Roni for my Glock 22. I tried carrying it around in a shoulder bag, but the temptation to take it off and lay it on the ground or a bench was always there. I ordered the DeSantis rig to carry the Micro Roni, but it was too fat and printed terribly under a jacket. I then got the idea to put a folding Endo/Buffer attachment on the Glock and tried that. The folding mechanism was too fat, so I tried again without it. The buffer tube then stuck up too far, so I sawed it in half and capped it. The half buffer tube is all I need for a cheek rest for longer shots. A piece of Velcro keeps the end of the tube close to my shoulder and printing is almost unnoticeable under an unbuttoned dark sport coat, hoodie or plaid flannel shirt. The DeSantis rig is very comfortable, more so than my IWB and pancake holsters. The 2 magazine holders fit tightly and aren't quite as easy to use as regular belt carry holders are. The quick release cord takes practice as I've never used one before otherwise drawing my Glock PDW is pretty fast. I adjusted the rig so the end of the Glock sits at my waist. Very happy with the setup. I now feel that I am more ready to intervene in an active shooter situation if needed. I will add a red dot sight later.
