Johan's Review of DoubleStar Folding Stock Mechanism
This gives the basic feature and ability of a side collapsing stock to help ak47s or maybe other rifles to be under 30 inches in length for a compact way to store or maneuver a firearms. Although no full in depth instructions one can make the observations quickly to mate the Boss plate to the recession in the receiver adapter. This is also adjustable up and down by the two Allen screws it comes with to ensure for example, that the bolt carrier of an ak47 can glide freely without the stock potentially obstructing its path. I used the AKRBB reciever adapter on a arsenal SA93 including a akfx stock with this side folding mechanism.
Pros:
- Enables the stock to collapse either right or left with adjustments to lower and raise the height of the folding plate.
Cons:
- Only cons are that adding this on top of the reciever adapter, and stock you purchase makes the length of pull ever so slightly longer and isnt a visually perfect one piece unit.Other than that no complaints
Best Used for:
- AKRBB or similar adapters that have a recessed portion (BOSS cutout) to reinforce stability for the ace group of stocks.
