Anacrusis's Review of DPM AK-47 Rifles 5.45X39mm/7.62X39mm Mechanical Recoil Reduction System
After several years of waiting, I have tested it on a Zastava ZPAP M70 & M92 and both work. The only ultra minor issue is that it doesn't line up as perfectly with the hole in the Zastava dust cover, but you can very easily get it in the hole correctly. I highly recommend this product. If you don't want to trust me, then email DPM directly. I've sent them photos and video of it working. Also, I'd assume it will work in the M72 as well, but for Zastava's in .308 or 5.56 I'd check with DPM first.
Additionally, I have many of their pistol and AR, and now AK products. They are all very good, but be aware that your perceived results may vary. I firmly believe that they improve the recoil, perceived recoil, and also reduce wear and tear on your guns, but your perceptions about exactly how much improvement will depend on several factors. For example, The captured version for the Beretta 92fs was night and day ( two of us independently agreed), but the Browning Hi-Power wasn't extremely obvious. I think both improved each gun, but perhaps some do it better than others, or it is possible that I just haven't found the best spring choices (where applicable) yet. I also suspect that larger calibers are easier to notice the difference, generally speaking. So, this product is difficult to test, but I really believe that in order to try it fairly, you really have to get several different models a try before you agree with me or not. I hope this helps someone.
