Maybe too much retention - DSG Arms Alpha Springfield Armory XD(M) 9/40 Holster

This is a pretty good holster. It fits my Springfield XDm 3.8 inch barrel pistol very well. The rentention is really, really tight, even with the adjustment screw all the way out. The only drawback to that is that with a 1.5 inch wide belt, the holster pulls up on the belt before the pistol comes out. Also, with this amount of retention, I don't get the happy "snap" that is common with kydex holsters when the pistol seats in the holster.

The trigger guard on this holster is generous and perfect. The sweat shield on the back is just the right height. All in all, the holster is high quality.

Like everything I've ordered from Optics Planet, it took forever for the item to ship and then it took a long time for it to finally arrive. All in all, it took almost a month between ordering and delivery, so plan ahead.
