matt's Review of Eberlestock Terminator Backpack
I purchased this pack at the whopping price of $400. That's a lot of dough for an E4 to spend on a pack. Within a couple months of relative light use (ruck marching, going to the range etc) I noticed it was starting to develop a tear near the top of the frame rail where the strap attaches. I was concerned that it was only going to get much worse in time and fail completely. I contacted the company and sent photos and was advised to ship it to them on my nickel within 2 weeks to get it repaired. Not always being able to drop what I'm doing and mail a backpack (field problems, deployments, etc) I exceeded the time frame by a couple months. I have since re contacted Eberlestock about it but haven't heard back yet. Overall the pack has a good layout and I would like to keep it running. Eberlestock's warranty sucks in my opinion. If somebody pays that much for a pack that falls apart shortly after don't give them some weird window of time to get it mailed back to you. And if you can charge $400 and up for this pack you can afford a mailing label so customers don't have to pay more to get it fixed. That is not an issue with this site or any other dealer but eberlestock needing to step up customer service. Overall I would not buy this again and am much happier with the Kelty that replaced it.
