Elftmann elf-sec curved tactical trigger - Elftmann Tactical Elftmann ELF-SE Trigger

I installed this trigger in my Bushmaster XM-15 M4A3, following the online instructions (none came with the trigger), except for using the locking compound on the set screws ('cause I wanted to make sure I liked it before I locked it - duh...). Within the first 10 rounds it began failing to reset when the trigger was released. I had to wiggle the trigger side-to-side or front-to-back (keeping the muzzle down range, of course) to get it to reset. After 40-50 rounds, it was malfunctioning 2 out of 3 times. Corresponded with tech rep, who told me to use the locking compound and tighten set screws tighter, using pliers on the provided allen wrench. Did so, exactly. Trigger then failed simply op check - absolutely REFUSED to reset to ready-to-fire position. My guess is that the set screws, which preload the unit against the hammer and trigger pins, are distorting the body of the assembly, causing the fail-to-reset malfunction. Reinstalled my stock trigger set and sent the Elftmann unit back Optics Planet for a refund. I may have had a mis-machined unit, but I think there is something deeper wrong with the design. Liked the trigger pull - crisp and light - but the reset failure can't be tolerated.
