An average bag - Elite Survival Systems Recon 4 Sleeping Bags

I took this one down to the bottom of our South Island on a weeklong hunting trip. First time I opened it the outer zip pull came off in my hand. Using just the inner pull at night caused the zip to snag the lining all the time..very frustrating when its a cold night. Thermal efficiency was average. I would not be using it in -10 C as stated..would freeze. Was in 5 degree C and had to wear all my fleece cloths and thermals on, was warm like that. When it’s in its travel bag there is no provision to strap it to the bottom of your pack evenly so it dangles at one end which is a not so good. Fine if using a big pack as its small enough to throw inside the pack but I was only using a Tenzing 2200. In hindsight I would have gone for the 5 series for better thermals but then it’s a lot bigger to carry around.
