Henrique's Review of EMG STI/TTI Licensed JW3 2011 Combat Master Airsoft Training Pistol

This is the EMG (green fiber) and not the cheaper AM (red fiber) version. Also, this is green gas and not the CO2 version. Shoots as you expect a high end gun to do. The hop up adjust is easy, and all the instructions are available on a 5min. video (EMG website). Gas saver: you'll get 2 full magazines per load and shooting is consistent until the last shot (hammer moves half way and bb goes 'meh'). You can get 25-30bbs on one round (depending on how they accommodate in the dual lane, which can be filled with gaps. But that doesn't interfere with the shooting. It loaded every single bb all the time just fine; n=200 bbs). Must have speed loader and EMG magpick if you want to spend more time shooting than loading. Everything came on a plastic bag, well protected in the very sturdy box (so any packing shipment will do the job even if it wobbles inside the box). Trigger traveling is short, and it will double shoot as fast as you can (semiautomatic is really quick. Requires stong and firm holding too, but I have not observed accuracy variations with the recoil effect). Multiple consecutive shots are somehow not allowed (3, maybe 4 are possible, then it locks for a second or 2. Must be related to lower temperatures at the valve/components due to gas expansion cooling). It will stay railed back when Bush are gone, which is helpful. Can loose bronze coating fairly quick on areas of higher contact (namely at the tip) but that's about it.
Pros:
  • Smooth
  • Very high quality
  • Precise & Accurate
  • Semi automatic
  • Gas saver
Cons:
  • Loading >25 bbs can be tricky
Best Used for:
  • fun
  • Practice tactical
