Junk - Energizer Hard Case Professional LED Durable Lantern with 4 "D" Batteries TUF4DPE

Bought this at Home Depot or Target a month or so ago and finally got around to unpacking it. No instructions except for an exploded view of the battery case on the back of the package. Over a dozen screws to take the thing apart but that can't be the way to change batteries. A similar model provoked a similar comment from someone on Yahoo Answers who wrote that the entire "base" unscrews. Good luck. Without using a vise no one in my family can get it to unscrew. Also, the enclosed batteries are hidden away, unmarked, inside the packaging and almost got thrown out. The weight of the "empty" box gave it away.

Stay away from this product -- plenty of competing products to choose from.

Cons: No instructions, impossible battery changing
