The best thing about this light is how long it lasts. We have this lantern and 2 other lanterns that are in the share of a traditional lanterns.

We just got our power back after two days without. We had to either replace or recharge (with lighter socket in car) the batteries of the other lanterns, but this lantern stayed bright without needing to change batteries.

Last year during another power outage, I bought this at a local hardware store for much more than it costs here. This power outage reminded me how much I like the lantern so I'm going to get another one. The cost of batteries for the other lanterns covers half the cost of this lantern.
