After only owning this for a couple years, I noticed the reticle fading in brightness. I kept turning it up, and didn't really notice for a while. Recently I was in the middle of an advanced tactics shotgun course in the bright desert, and couldn't even see the reticle in daylight. Even with fresh batteries at full power. Had to take it off and run with the tiny front bead only for 2 more days. Made night shooting slugs at long distances really suck. Pretty lame to have your optic fail during training. So z bunch of the instructors and other students all said eotech has a huge problem with zero shift and reticle fade on older units. Part of a lawsuit. Supposedly they will full refund or replace. I'll see.
