Spider-Man's Review of ESS ICE ONE Eyeshield Kit

I like that these are sold with various nose pieces. I am in the fire sprinkler fitting industry and sometimes require far sight to see water leaks from pipe assemblies hanging more than 60 feet up, attached to the ceiling. I will be able to immediately begin threading and grooving new pipes, or even drill and file the old pipe to fit a mech-T without adjusting my glasses at all. In my spare time, I also cut trees and these glasses will provide adequate protection from wood chips and metal burrs and allow me to check the wind direction to ensure a good felling. These are the cheapest, most reliable pair of Rx safety glasses I have seen. Ray-Ban is charging $400 for the lens type that resists oil smudging, along with the frames. That price does not include the eye examination. These glasses and the associated Rx inserts are hundreds of dollars cheaper and, should a metal burr embed in the safety glasses, I can buy another eye shield for about $20. I will not have wear safety corners when I keep an eye out for snakes while landscaping my yard at home, like I would with the expensive Ray-Ban glasses. I would recommend these glasses and insert attachments due to their availability and price range. There is no specialty service required, other than the Rx lenses themselves, which are snugly and safely tucked away behind the safety glasses’ main eye shield. I would recommend, however, that goggles be purchased for sandy environments and anywhere fiberglass from insulation can blow under the normal safety glasses. You’ll already have the nose inserts you need.
Pros:
  • Fast shipping, arrival in excellent condition, packaged well, and contained all parts.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Truck maintenance, landscaping, threading and grooving metal pipe, et cetera.
