Hated old guide rod in a 1991a1 compact - Evolution Gun Works Officer's Guide Rod & Spring Kit w/ Clark Plug 22 Number Officer's Spring

Checked for many months this is the real deal. Works much better than the old double springs (hard to find) short guide rod, EGW officer guide rod system easy to install and easy to remove. Just pull back the slide to the removal slot pull the slide lock pin and remove the slide. Depress spring by hand and install pin in hole that it comes with and then remove guide rod. This will make it much easer to reinstall other wise its to long to fit in the slide and barrel. Very easy after putting the guide rod back in remove the pin and guide rod is complete.. Slide your slide back on and you will see the barrel hole show up right away push the slide lock pin part way in. Slide the slide to the grove and push the slide lock to rest of the way in. Done
