Plaid's Review of Evolution Outdoor Mesquite Shotgun Case
While I was aware that this was an inexpensive option, I was a bit surprised at how quickly the lining tore after minimal contact with the long-gun steel components. One of the guns stored in this particular bag is made up of about 45% polymer components, and even those plastic parts managed to tear the interior lining in less than 3 days. A quick iron-on fabric patch will be worth the money and/or possibly a quick fix if you wait until the lining is breached. Otherwise, the bag is functional, but small, balanced, but with a frail handle system, and short, but adequate.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- Thin
Best Used for:
- short polymer long guns
