thomas's Review of Explore Scientific FirstLight Twilight Nano Telescope Mount
Was looking for a small mount for my ST-80, and I previously had an EQ-1 which worked great, in fact I added push-to to it. However, I found trying to carry it down stairs assembled a challenge because of the counterweight and shaft. Also, it didn't fit well in my car back seat just because of the awkward shape of an equatorial mount.
I tried this Nano altaz mount and it's perfect. Star hopping is much easier, and it folds up nicely. No slow motion controls, but you don't need those for a short tube low power scope.
I probably wouldn't recommend it for something with a longer focal length, but it works great for an 80mm F5.
You'll probably need to loosen the 13mm nut on the altitude bearing to adjust the friction.
