Wm Palmer's Review of Explorer Folding Compass
I have several top end Silva Rangers that I have in different BOB's. I needed a lesser $$ compass to throw nto anther bag, and this got the nod. It is not a Siva Rnager, but it has the basics, and it should do the trick unless your doing a HALO into a hot spot and want ultimate precision. For the money,it is a useable piece. It is of course plastic..and there is plastic and then there is plastic....so you need to be careful in handling and not subject it to severe use or abuse IMO.
