Good heavy duty lopper, but... - EZ Kut Lil G Ratcheting Lopper

the twist lock for the extending handles isn't as impressive as the rest of the lopper construction. I had a previous ratcheting lopper with a titanium blade that kept breaking, this steel blade holds up much better. The ratcheting action makes cutting much easier, was able to cut thru hardwood apple branches (1.5"+) and bamboo with little issue thanks to the ratcheting mechanism. The aluminum handles will flex, and thought they might even bend on me a couple of times, but never had an issue with that, they are very strong, even when extended. Only complaint is the handle twist lock feature can unlock relatively easy depending on your wrist action while cutting, it takes some getting used to and I feel they shouldn't be that sensitive for this price. The extended reach is great, and combined with the ratchet, allows you to get some branches you would have to pull out the ladder for getting the right leverage. All in all, a very good lopper, just not perfect, but considering the other options, I would buy this again for my use. Hopefully more experience with the handles will negate the issue, otherwise if they were to be used on a much more regular basis, perhaps the G2 would be worth the extra money.
