Commanderdad's Review of EZE-LAP 2x6in Double Sided Sharpening Stone

Good size for my applications but built on a plastic body with stick-on grit labels. Frankly, it's Chinese made so I should not expect a lot more than what I paid for it. I prefer a more stable base that allows me to hold it while I work on fine tuning the blade edge. So I made a wooden holder that nests the EZE-Lap. Far more stable and I am provided a better purchase on the stone without fear of accidentally cutting myself.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • For plastic, it's beefy
Cons:
  • Not especially safe for hand held sharpening
Best Used for:
  • Sharpening broadheads and knives in the field
