Solid stock, installation was easy however no instructions and took a minute to find the hardware hidden in the grip. Only issue mine had was a piece of metal right in the middle of the parting line on the grip, didn’t see it and cut my hand. Thought it was just some rough plastic flashing but it was a piece of metal. I was able to dig it out. If I could attach pics I would. Max
